    Description

    Our client is seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead plant engineering, maintenance, facilities, and capital projects. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, driving CAPEX initiatives, strengthening preventive maintenance programs, and supporting plant growth while ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership: Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate engineering and maintenance personnel.
    • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, ISO requirements, and regulatory expectations.
    • Engineering Solutions: Develop engineering improvements that enhance production performance, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
    • Engineering & Maintenance Leadership: Lead engineering, maintenance, and facilities teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
    • Preventive Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee PM programs, CMMS/work‑order systems, spare‑parts inventory, and equipment reliability initiatives.
    • Vendor & Contractor Management: Manage contractors, service providers, and third‑party vendors supporting engineering and maintenance activities.
    • Documentation & Audit Support: Maintain engineering documentation, support audits, and uphold strong change‑control and validation practices.
    • Commissioning & Qualification: Lead equipment startups, commissioning, IQ/OQ activities, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
    • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Facilities on equipment installations, facility upgrades, and manufacturing projects.
    • CAPEX Project Management: Manage capital projects from scope and planning through installation, commissioning, and startup; ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and compliance requirements.

    Qualifications (Must-Haves)

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide occasional on‑call support.
    • 7+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance teams.
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience with CAPEX, preventive maintenance, CMMS, and equipment reliability programs.
