Engineering Manager - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01322Salary Range: $100K - $125K
Permanent Position with BenefitsAkron Ohio Manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical design team to design, develop and optimize extrusion machinery.
REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline); Master's degree or MBA preferred, (extensive related experience will be considered in lieu of education)
- 8+ years' in mechanical machinery design with 3= years' experience as a Manager
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks / PDM, AutoCAD, weldments, motor sizing, hydraulic calculations, strain analysis, material selection, bills of material (BOMs) and appropriate heat treatment processes.
- Proficient with Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis
- Evaluate and mentor technicians and engineers
- Oversee design reviews & verify mechanical design meet designs meet customer specifications, ASME/ANSI, FEA and FMEA standards
- Review machinery production for manufacturability, cost targets and field performance
- Oversee IT on engineering systems (PDM, ERP) and data integrity
- Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
