Wood is currently expanding its team of engineers and experts in its Hampton, NJ location to support design engineering activities in the North American aftermarket business. This exciting role (Engineering Manager) comes with the opportunity for growth and being part of a team addressing technical and environmental challenges to repower the North American utility and industrial sector, using its in-house legacy OEM technology.
Serves as an in-house expert in mechanical engineering as it relates to the organization's products and services. Primary responsibility is the management of a group of technical personnel.
The successful candidate must be a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills, work as part of a team and interact with clients. The preferred candidate will be office based in our New Jersey location.

- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

- Client visits to present, inspect, or collect information, for proposal or contract work. Should be willing to travel to jobsites in North America.
- Maintain and update current engineering standards as required
- Review client technical specifications.
- Review vendor quotes versus project requirements.
- Proposal preparation and cost estimates.
- Review vendor requests for material substitutions and approve as appropriate
