Engineering Manager – Manufacturing

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team supporting custom-engineered electrical products within a manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for driving execution, enhancing processes, and ensuring the accurate, high-quality, and on-time delivery of engineering outputs.

This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong focus on team development, operational performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day engineering operations to ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings and project deliverables
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, supply chain, and project management to support production schedules and customer requirements
  • Manage team workload, priorities, and resources to meet deadlines and performance objectives
  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineering team members to support skill growth and career progression
  • Drive process improvements, workflow optimization, and standardization across engineering functions
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (delivery, quality, throughput) to improve team effectiveness
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting productivity, efficiency, and output
  • Support and implement strategic initiatives, including tools, systems, and process enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams
  • Experience in engineered-to-order (ETO) or custom product environments
  • Strong understanding of power distribution equipment (low and/or medium voltage preferred)
  • Proven experience with process improvement, standardization, and performance management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Low Voltage Cabling Installation
