    • Establish consistent engineering expectations, performance standards, and development plans.
    • Oversee engineering projects from concept through completion, including new equipment purchases, facility construction, and expansions.
    • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve fabrication and assembly processes (including cutting, forming, welding, and material handling) to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
    • Identify waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies; implement Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve throughput and reduce costs.
    • Evaluate equipment needs and support capital justification, selection, and implementation of new machinery and automation.
    • Drive improvements in takt time, labor utilization, workflow layouts, and production planning methods.
    • Ensure all engineering projects and facilities comply with environmental and safety requirements.
    • Develop and manage capital budgets across multiple facilities.
    • Prepare and present regular project and facility status reports.
    • Partner daily with operations, quality, and safety teams to support production efficiency.
    • Lead preventive maintenance engineering efforts and partner with maintenance teams on equipment reliability initiatives.
    • Develop solutions to complex engineering challenges requiring independent judgment, creativity, and adaptation of standards for plant layout, design, and construction.
    • Analyze and resolve root causes of manufacturing issues.
    • Provide technical product support as needed, assisting project coordination, engineered products, and sales teams.
    • Adhere to all company safety rules, regulations, and policies.
    • Attend all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.

Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes):

    • B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other solid modeling software.
    • Demonstrated strength in process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving.
    • Familiarity with a broad range of machinery, automation, mechanical equipment, and construction methods is preferred.
    • General knowledge of steel fabrication processes (welding, CNC milling, facing, etc.) is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of advanced engineering principles and solid mathematical aptitude is preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
