Seeking a skilled Mechanical Department Manager with HVAC expertise to lead engineering teams in ship design projects.
Responsible for guiding Engineers I-IV, overseeing HVAC system development, calculations, and drawings, ensuring project goals are met efficiently and to high standards.
Requires 8+ years of marine design/construction experience, strong communication skills, knowledge of ship and propulsion systems, and familiarity with maritime regulations.
Must hold a Bachelor's in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with experience in HVAC and ship systems. Leadership involves directing team work, checking calculations, and liaising with stakeholders.
Additional advantageous skills include high-speed vessel construction, modular methods, and US Navy vessel design experience. Candidates must meet employment eligibility guidelines and undergo background and drug screening.
