Engineering Manager (Software) - USA Defence Simulation Team
We are looking for an Engineering Manager (player-coach) to lead our USA‑based software development team working on governmental and military simulation products.
The role focuses on people leadership, technical excellence, and predictable delivery, while working in close alignment with EU R&D and Product Management, who lead product direction and architecture.
Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the software development team (R&D).
Create and maintain a healthy, productive, and sustainable working environment.
Support hiring, onboarding, and team stabilisation.
Coach and develop team members (performance, growth, skills).
Contribute technically:
Architecture and design decisions
Code reviews
Technical guidance and selective hands‑on development
Ensure delivery against:
Sprint commitments
Program Increment (PI) objectives
Contractual requirements
Protect developer focus and improve planning predictability.
Ensure engineering quality, technical standards, and documentation.
Ensure alignment with EU R&D and Product Management.
