Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, with 10-15 years of experience ideally from Defense, Aerospace, Industrial Controls settings
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering leadership or management experience, with direct responsibility for engineers, project execution, and technical decision-making
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with GD&T and technical drawings
- Familiarity with product change management and revision control systems (ECR/ECO/PLM or similar)
- Experience designing, developing, or analyzing motors, motion control systems, or electromechanical products
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 regulated environment
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new and custom motor and motion control products
- Own engineering schedules and delivery timelines, ensuring on-time execution
- Manage the product change control process (ECR/ECO) from initiation through release
- Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering staff to build a high-performing team
- Review and approve manufacturing drawings for accuracy, completeness, and GD&T compliance
- Establish, document, and maintain engineering standards and best practices
- Partner with manufacturing to drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost
- Represent engineering in customer and supplier technical discussions
- Champion ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliance across the engineering function
- Provide hands-on technical support and guidance as needed
