Engineering Manager



About the Opportunity

A growing, multi-site manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead capital projects, operational improvements, and engineering initiatives across several production facilities. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements in performance, efficiency, reliability, and long-term operational strategy within a complex manufacturing environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in highly regulated or process-driven manufacturing sectors such as food & beverage, cosmetics, consumer goods, packaging, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or similar industries.


Position Overview

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing capital project execution, process optimization, equipment reliability initiatives, and engineering support across multiple facilities. This individual will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to deliver projects, improve performance, and support future growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead capital projects from concept through implementation, commissioning, and handoff to operations.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and business cases for capital investments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity, efficiency, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify operational challenges and develop engineering solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and contractor performance.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, equipment procurement, and contractor selection.
  • Support maintenance and reliability initiatives, including spare parts strategies and asset management.
  • Drive energy efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and monitor engineering KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in capital project management, equipment installation, and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and driving operational improvements.
  • Experience managing budgets, contractors, vendors, and project timelines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Background in continuous improvement, sustainability, energy management, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience within food & beverage, cosmetics, consumer products, packaging, pharmaceutical, personal care, or similar manufacturing environments.
