Engineering Manager

Location: Onsite near Oklahoma City, OK
Travel: Occasional travel as needed

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers supporting the design, development, and improvement of aerospace products and systems. This individual will oversee engineering operations, drive product development initiatives, and help guide technical strategy while ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, and performance expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers across product development and engineering initiatives
  • Oversee engineering projects, processes, timelines, and team performance
  • Support the design and improvement of new and existing aerospace products
  • Evaluate project feasibility, budgets, staffing, and resource requirements
  • Develop and implement engineering procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Review technical proposals, research findings, and project progress reports
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and quality teams to improve processes and product performance
  • Monitor production costs, product quality, and operational efficiency
  • Support strategic planning efforts and identify opportunities for new product development and market growth
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and equipment planning
  • Provide technical guidance and support across engineering and production teams
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required
  • 7+ years of engineering or mechanical design experience preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of leadership or direct management experience required
  • Aerospace industry experience is required
  • Strong understanding of CAD design and engineering analysis tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; MS Project experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and project support, including limited overnight travel
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday
