Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Proven track record delivering Full stack websites and Mobile App (iOS/Android) initiatives end-to-end.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or closely related field or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience managing engineers (mentoring staff/ principal engineers, setting technical direction, etc.)
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams (frontend, backend, API).
Strong expertise in:
API Management (Apigee, Kong, Mulesoft, or AWS API Gateway)
AWS Cloud (EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.)
Frontend: ReactJS, modern JavaScript (ES6+), REST/GraphQL integration
Backend: NodeJS, Java, Express, microservices, RESTful API design
Deep understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience managing production-grade system, services that support Million calls per minute and optimizing performance and cost.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to VP/C-suite audiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ~20 engineers (frontend, backend, and API specialists).
Accountability for your team's results, including velocity, quality, service monitoring, etc
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Designers to align technical goals with business outcomes.
Acting as the point of contact for the L3 support, and owning the resolution
Driving the engineering hiring plan for the team, including screening and interviewing.
Working within an Agile framework, with a focus on results over process
Reducing complexity both of system designs and of team communication
Coaching and code reviews for team members.
Salary Range-$100,000-$140,000 a year
