Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.

H2C is seeking an Engineering Manager for S Farm Retrieval to promote a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the H2C mission, vision, and values, based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Ensure expectations established by senior management around the essential duties are effectively flowed down to subordinate managers, regularly reinforced and incorporated into the performance review process.
* Effectively leads team members including establishing arrangements that allow them to perform effectively in their role.
* Manages assigned scope and subordinates by ensuring adequate resources are provided, assigning and tracking tasks, evaluating personnel performance and providing professional development opportunities.
* Develops and documents scope definition including, as appropriate, functional specification, design basis and design criteria for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
* Establishes delivery strategies including the engagement of the supply chain for assigned scope. Develops and maintains control of the technical/ engineering baseline scope, schedule and budget for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
* Ensures proper identification, selection and implementation of technical/engineering processes, procedures, standards and codes of practice to be used in delivery of assigned scope.
* Researches and reviews lessons learned, post-job and ALARA reviews for applicability and incorporation into work plans.
* Monitors, reviews and reports on status including progress against schedules and cost position. Implements recovery actions as and when required.
* Maintains cognizance of ongoing PBI activities which impact technical/engineering resources.
* Ensures technical/engineering processes and programs support TDC contract work scope execution. Represents TDC on technical/engineering issues to senior staff, customers, regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
* Conducts assessments of effectiveness of technical/engineering processes, requirements, and procedures.
* Mentors, trains, coaches and counsels staff in the effective development and delivery of assigned programs, projects and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Grade 21:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in related technical discipline; and
Ten (10) years' related experience
Grade 22:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in related technical discipline; and
Twelve (12) years' related experience
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with engineering support to Tank Farms or Retrieval projects, operation/maintenance, and/or field work.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: 145,150
Hiring Range Maximum: 214,288
