The Role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager who thrives on leading high-performing engineering teams, solving complex architectural challenges, and driving product excellence at scale.

In this role, you'll guide engineers across backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps to build modern, cloud-native systems. You'll shape engineering culture, drive technical strategy, improve development processes, and ensure our systems are fast, reliable, secure, and scalable.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers \u2192 Backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps
  • Own architecture & system design \u2192 Design modern, cloud-native backend applications and distributed systems
  • Work across the stack \u2192 Jump into backend, frontend, or cloud components when needed
  • Champion engineering excellence \u2192 Drive code quality, reviews, automation, testing, and security best practices
  • Partner across functions \u2192 Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Leadership to ship impactful solutions
  • Improve engineering processes \u2192 Strengthen CI/CD, observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting
  • Own delivery \u2192 Manage sprint planning, execution, delivery timelines, team health, and performance

You Might Be a Fit If\u2026

You have:

  • 6+ years of overall engineering experience across backend, frontend, or cloud technologies
  • 5+ years of strong backend development experience (Node.js, Go, Python, or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
  • 2+ years working in Agile environments (Scrum, Squads, or Chapter models)
  • 1+ year leading a team of 4+ engineers
  • Strong understanding of cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, deployments, and cost optimization
  • Solid experience with unit testing, automation, observability, code quality, and security best practices

Bonus points for:

  • Experience building SaaS or high-scale distributed systems
  • Strong system design and architectural fundamentals
  • Ability to influence engineering culture, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership skills
