Join a leading aerospace manufacturing firm in a crucial leadership capacity where you will spearhead the engineering team responsible for innovative special processes. This position demands an individual with a strong foundation in advanced techniques such as thermal spray and chemical treatments, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within a regulated landscape.

Your leadership will be pivotal in driving efficiency and excellence, nurturing a culture centered on accountability and collaboration among manufacturing, process, and quality engineers. Set clear performance benchmarks, plan for staff development, and lead through example.

In this role, you will drive key engineering support operations ensuring timely and quality deliverables. Innovate through process improvement initiatives targeting thermal spray, chemical processing including plating and passivation, and coating technology advancements.

Ensure strict adherence to industry standards, including Nadcap and ISO 9001/AS9100. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to tackle technical challenges, lead comprehensive audits, and ensure meticulous documentation for process validation and compliance.

Focus on continual process improvements by initiating Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to refine operations, trim inefficiencies, and strategically align your team’s objectives with broader business goals. Manage CAPEX projects to enhance automation and equipment capabilities.

The position also requires facilitating seamless new product introductions, from feasibility studies through production phases, solidifying our competitive edge in a dynamic market.

Act as the technical interface with both customers and suppliers, ensuring technical reviews and audits meet our high professional standards.

This role necessitates a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or allied fields), over a decade in aerospace or equivalent regulated industry experience, and proven team leadership. Familiarity with quality systems, accreditations, and ERP/MRP systems preferred.
