Averro is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager for our machinery manufacturing clients located near the Greater Philadelphia Area - near Quakertown and Allentown. This is an immediate direct-hire position, where you will lead the manufacturing and process engineering team. In this role, you'll drive process excellence, develop a high-performing team, and partner across the business to improve how products are built, scaled, and delivered.

- Overseeing manufacturing and process engineering within a precision manufacturing environment
- Skilled with CNC machining and manufacturing processes
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and career growth support
- Oversee manufacturing processes across machining, assembly, and secondary operations, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and scalability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Establish and track key performance metrics to guide operational performance
- Review and validate manufacturing plans, routings, and resource requirements prior to release
- Partner cross-functionally to support daily production needs and long-term business objectives
- Lead capital equipment initiatives including selection, installation, and commissioning
- Support new product introductions, including process development, risk assessments, and validation activities
- Ensure controlled execution of engineering and process changes
- Serve as a technical escalation point for manufacturing challenges
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering within a precision manufacturing environment
- 4+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Strong background in CNC machining and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, or Autodesk
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
- Advanced degree, Six Sigma certification, or materials/metallurgy background is a plus
