Position Summary

The Engineering Mechanic I is an advanced level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.

Responsibilities:

  • You will perform maintenance and major/minor repairs on facility equipment and systems
  • You will conduct daily operations and initiate corrective action
  • You will assist in training and mentorship of other staff
  • You will collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projects
  • You will partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity


Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
  • Certificate of Licensure in one or more of the above identified areas (preferred)
  • Accomplished in six of the following basic areas: electrical, plumbing/mechanical, machine shop, general building maintenance, steam distribution, electronics, pneumatic tube system, AGVS, CPD equipment, fire alarm initiating and suppression systems, med gas, beds, and nurse call
  • Minimum five (5) years maintenance experience
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state


Additional Requirements for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital Include:



  • Medical gas ASSE 6040 certification after hire
  • ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker required within 6 months of hire
  • On Call Required
  • Medical gas ASSE 6040 certification after hire
  • ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker required within 6 months of hire
  • On Call Required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $62.51 - $62.51 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
