We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) F/A -18 & EA -18G Fleet Support Team operations at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), NAS North Island.
<\/span><\/div>

This role oversees engineering sustainment projects supporting fleet readiness. The position requires strong project execution discipline, cross -functional coordination, and technical oversight within an aviation maintenance environment.
<\/span><\/p>

This is a direct hire opportunity.<\/span>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities<\/span>
<\/h4>
• Lead sustainment -related engineering projects supporting F/A -18 aircraft
<\/div>
• Translate sponsor proposals into structured project execution plans
<\/div>
• Define project phases, responsibilities, and resource assignments
<\/div>
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and staffing plans
<\/div>
• Conduct technical analysis, validation studies, and performance testing
<\/div>
• Monitor project performance and resolve schedule or scope issues
<\/div>
• Control scope and recommend corrective actions to leadership
<\/div>
• Prepare status reports, performance metrics, and executive summaries
<\/div>
• Serve as liaison between engineering teams, logistics personnel, and stakeholders
<\/div>
• Oversee engineering development efforts from concept through completion
<\/div><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
• Active Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)
<\/div>
• 3–10 years of engineering and/or logistics program/project management experience
<\/div>
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant technical discipline
<\/div>
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
<\/div>
• Experience in structured, high -accountability environments
<\/div>

Preferred Experience<\/span>
<\/h4>
• Aviation maintenance or sustainment background
<\/div>
• Fleet readiness or depot -level operations experience
<\/div>
• Experience supporting NAVAIR programs
<\/div>
• Cross -functional engineering and logistics coordination
