Responsibilities:
• Manage & execute complex & multi-faceted projects • Direct multiple concurrent projects ensuring compliance with budgeted goals & funding • Develop & mentor engineering & facilities associates in all facets of project management & engineering practices • Provide expert consultation in conceptual design, development & implementation of manufacturing process quality & cost-effective improvements • Ensure compliance with engineering-related federal, state & local regulatory standards & directives • Identify technological alternatives and emerging advances related to Boars Head manufacturing processes & facilities • Oversee utility management to insure energy effectiveness, requirement compliance & identification of energy reduction opportunities • Interface & negotiate with outside vendors & equipment manufacturers to obtain the best value services & goods
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical is preferred • Over 10 - 13 years of experience managing groups that provide diverse technical support. • Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) • American Meat Institute (AMI) guidelines for sanitary designs • Strong project management & organizational skills • Demonstrated track record of successful completion of projects within time & budget constraints • Experienced in coaching & mentoring skills • Knowledge of food manufacturing facilities requirements, with a focus on food safety. • Ability to interface with multiple levels within an organization to meet goals & objectives • Previous experience in regulatory compliance and utility management • Experience in manufacturing equipment selection, sourcing & installation • Strong problem-solving & analytical skills • Ability to interpret and apply building codes within the food manufacturing industry.
