DescriptionThe Engineering Project Manager at Hyper Solutions leads the planning, development, and delivery of mechanical systems supporting low- and medium-voltage power distribution products, including PDUs and related mission-critical infrastructure components. This role combines technical engineering expertise with strong project management capabilities to drive successful execution from concept through production.This position works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer and business objectives. The Engineering Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating complex product development efforts while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability.This role is well-suited for an engineer with strong mechanical design experience who has transitioned into project leadership and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Core ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional engineering projects for power distribution units (PDUs) and associated componentsDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocationsCoordinate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely project executionTrack project progress, milestones, risks, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadershipManage risk assessments, design reviews, and engineering change control processesEnsure alignment between engineering development, production readiness, and customer requirementsAdditional ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to assess production readiness and execution timelinesSupport Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT) efforts, including prototyping and validation buildsParticipate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), field trials, and failure analysis effortsContribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and cross-functional coordinationSupport global or multi-site project execution across different time zones and partner environmentsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline5+ years of mechanical design experience2+ years of experience managing projects or leading cross-functional teamsExperience designing components for low- or medium-voltage electrical systems (PDUs, switchgear, busbar systems, controls, or similar)Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals including thermal management, sheet metal, plastics, structural integrity, and environmental sealingProficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similarStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorksAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certificationFamiliarity with regulatory standards and certifications such as UL, IEC, and CEExperience with product lifecycle management (PLM/PDM) systemsExperience working with contract manufacturing and external supplier networksWhat Success Looks LikeProjects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer and business requirementsStrong cross-functional coordination results in efficient execution and minimal delaysEngineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams are aligned throughout the product lifecycleRisks are proactively identified and mitigated, minimizing impact to timelines and qualityProduct launches are successful, with smooth transitions from development to productionWhy Hyper?At Hyper, you'll play a key role in delivering mission-critical power infrastructure solutions that support data centers and advanced electrical systems.
