Opportunity Overview





The Product Board Test Unit of Teradyne is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team in North Reading, Massachusetts. This role will lead the execution of complex engineering programs from initial concept through production deployment while driving alignment across cross-functional teams. The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for program planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder communication, and overall program success.





Key responsibilities include:






+ Lead major subsystem development activities through requirements, concept development, prototyping, testing, production release, and deployment.


+ Develop, maintain, and communicate program plans, schedules, risk registers, action item tracking, and resource requirements.


+ Collaborate with engineering, product management, marketing, sales, operations, manufacturing, and field service teams to ensure successful program execution.


+ Organize and facilitate design reviews, project reviews, core team meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive status updates.


+ Monitor and manage recurring and non-recurring program costs through transfer to production manufacturing.


+ Identify program risks, critical path dependencies, and mitigation plans while driving timely resolution of issues.


+ Synthesize complex technical and business information into concise status updates and executive-level presentations.


+ Support the continuous improvement of program management processes, tools, templates, and best practices.

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline - or equivalent experience.


+ 5-10+ years of experience in engineering-focused product development organizations.


+ Proven experience leading multiple cross-functional engineering programs involving hardware, software, mechanical, automation, operations, and field service teams.


+ Demonstrated ability to develop and manage detailed project plans covering concept development, detailed design, design verification, customer qualification, and transfer to high-volume manufacturing.


+ Experience identifying program risks, communicating issues to senior leadership, and driving mitigation strategies to closure.


+ Strong project planning, scheduling, budget management, and organizational skills.


+ Experience driving product development decisions through collaboration and data-driven decision making.


+ Experience partnering effectively with operations and manufacturing organizations.


+ Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.


+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and programs in a fast-paced environment.


+ Limited travel required.






Preferred Qualifications






+ Master's degree or MBA.


+ PMP certification.


+ Experience establishing, developing, or enhancing Program Management Office (PMO) processes and methodologies.

Compensation





The base salary range for this role is $81,400-$130,300. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.





Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
