As a Mechanical Engineering Project Specialist, you will contribute to the design, coordination, and documentation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes specifically for HVAC systems for a wide variety of building projects. This role plays a critical part in translating engineering concepts into accurate, constructible models and drawings using Revit and related BIM tools.

Key Responsibilities
HVAC System Design
- Support the design and layout of HVAC systems for commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and other building types by delivering accurate, reliable engineering analysis and design support
- Perform engineering calculations, including heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, airflow analysis, and energy-related evaluations that meet performance, energy, budget, and code requirements
- Apply engineering principles, building codes, and industry standards to project work
BIM Modeling & Construction Documentation
- Develop and maintain Revit models and construction documents in accordance with project, client, and firm standards
- Assist in preparing plans, schedules, details, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Ensure timely resolution of clashes and conflicts by working closely with all project stakeholders to deliver coordinated, conflict-free designs
- Participate in interdisciplinary BIM coordination and design reviews
- Support efficient project delivery through quality modeling and documentation
Project Coordination & Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and other disciplines throughout the design process
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions regarding design solutions and project objectives
- Communicate effectively with team members to support project execution and coordination
- Contribute to integrated design solutions that support client and project goals

Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Mechanical Design, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Open to EIT or Designer-track individuals
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other design software
- Exposure to HVAC systems, building design, BIM workflows, or construction processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Pay range for this position is $60,000 to $95,000 depending on experience
