Location: Elk River, MN (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Pay Range: $22.00 - 24.00 Per hour. W2
Shift: 7 AM to 3 PM Mon to Fri

Job Description

This person will be filling in while the current QA Technician is out on leave of absence

Provide OSI, receiving inspection, and product, part, and process audit support for manufacturing operations.

Major Areas of Accountability

• Perform Receiving Inspection: Performs receiving inspection on raw materials and components supplied by external suppliers or customers. Reviews certificates of conformance and material test reports for required material/parts to assure conformance to specifications.
• Perform In-Process Product Audits, Configuration Audits, and Black Light Inspection Audits: Performs in-process product audits and configuration audits on components and assemblies manufactured in-house.
• Operator Self Inspection: Supports Operator Self Inspection (OSI) needs for components manufactured in-house.
• Assure Product Meets Performance Tests: Performs product audits by witnessing the assembly and test processes for completed product, assuring product meets specified performance tests.
• Productivity and Efficiency: Uses total quality techniques, including team participation, to recommend ways to eliminate potential quality problems. Improve procedures and work instructions to improve personal and department effectiveness.

Must Haves

• Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, including receiving inspection, in-process inspection, product/part inspection, audits, and ensuring products meet specifications.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge, with hands-on experience using gages, fixtures, surface plates, calipers/micrometers, standard measuring equipment, and profilometers for dimensional inspection.
• Manufacturing-related quality expertise, including material/component inspection, C of C/MTR review, configuration and product audits, performance testing, and knowledge of machine shop mathematics (geometry/trigonometry).
