Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Sr. Project Manager to support projects at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ohio. This position will manage engineering, facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and system-change projects from concept through completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing capital projects, facility modifications, process equipment installations, construction, commissioning/validation, and engineering projects within a GMP/pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional engineering projects involving facilities, equipment, utilities, infrastructure, and system changes.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and execution strategies.
Develop project proposals, business justifications, cost estimates, execution plans, and project documentation.
Manage capital and expense projects in accordance with site and global standards.
Lead projects within active manufacturing operations while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
Manage new construction, renovation, facility upgrades, equipment installation, and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, utilities, maintenance, QA, validation, and other cross-functional teams.
Oversee contractors, consultants, engineering teams, and third-party resources.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and implementation plans.
Track project progress against schedule, cost, scope, and quality objectives.
Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving facilities and equipment.
Provide regular project updates to management, clients, and stakeholders.
Lead project teams and ensure successful project execution from concept through completion.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable quality requirements.
Doctorate in Engineering or related technical field with 6+ years of directly related experience; OR
Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 10+ years of directly related experience; OR
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 15+ years of directly related experience.
Strong project management experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, or life sciences manufacturing.
Experience managing capital and expense projects.
Experience with facility, equipment, utility, infrastructure, and/or manufacturing projects.
Experience working in GMP/cGMP-regulated environments.
Strong experience with project budgets, schedules, cost forecasting, and contractor management.
Experience with construction, commissioning, qualification, and/or validation.
Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Ohio.
