JOB TITLE: Engineering Support Specialist

PAY RATE: $28-30/hour

Summary: 

• Serves as primary focal point for the 3D Print Lab, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable daily operations.

• Converts engineering CAD models into printed parts through print preparation, build setup, material selection, and post-processing.

• Coordinates and prioritizes 3D printing requests from multiple engineering teams and customers.

• Produces parts for full-scale mockups, rapid prototypes, tooling and fixtures, fit and form validation, maintainability assessments, and engineering demonstrations.

• Operates, maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots 3D printers and associated equipment.

• Performs routine maintenance to maximize equipment availability and print quality.

• Manages inventory of printing materials, consumables, and spare parts.

• Coordinates procurement activities and shipping of completed parts.

• Communicates project status and expectations throughout the print process.

• Works with CAD models and engineering drawings, and applies 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA) and post-processing techniques.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• High School Diploma.

• Ability to work in a hands-on technical environment.

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software applications.

• Experience operating or maintaining 3D printing equipment.

• Technician experience supporting engineering organizations.

• Experience working with CAD models and engineering drawings.

• Experience with 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA) and post-processing techniques.

• Preferred: Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Design, Additive Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Preferred: Familiarity with aerospace products, especially Gas Turbine Engines, and understanding of engineering design, prototyping, and product development workflows.
