Truss designer reads residential and commercial plans to design wood trusses using software for roof, floor and wall truss systems. The designer communicates both verbally and written to members of the team, customers and production staff to ensure the designs are accurate and to the customers specifications.Duties includeRead and interpret architectural and structural drawingsDesign structural componentsProduce individual plans and final layouts for roof, floor and wall trusses.Resolve any discrepancies as neededQualificationsMinimum 2 years design or drafting experience/training preferred.
