Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Documentation / Engineering Specialist to provide technical and documentation support to engineering and operations teams. This role is ideal for a junior-level engineering professional who is interested in a long-term opportunity supporting multiple engineering projects and working closely with engineers, operations personnel, and leadership.
The position has a strong Project Management and Technical Documentation component. The selected candidate will coordinate design meetings, document technical discussions, update engineering specifications and guidelines, conduct technical research, and coordinate reviews and approvals across the organization.
This is a long-term assignment that has historically supported the organization for more than 15 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate technical and design meetings with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, take detailed notes, and document action items and required modifications.
• Coordinate follow-up activities and communicate updates across multiple organizational levels, including engineering teams and Directors.
• Modify and maintain internal technical specifications, engineering guidelines, and documentation.
• Research and review parts, equipment designs, engineering requirements, and technical specifications.
• Incorporate approved changes into internal engineering documentation.
• Submit updated documentation to the Hiring Manager and appropriate stakeholders for review and approval.
• Maintain approved technical documentation within internal engineering systems and web-based repositories.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to operations personnel within the applicable area of specialty.
• Support engineering teams with technical research, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and documentation.
• Ensure technical information aligns with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards, and company operating procedures.
• Support 20+ engineers across a portfolio of 300+ active projects.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
• Track project-related documentation, modifications, approvals, and follow-up items to ensure timely completion.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Preferred educational focus in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Petroleum Engineering
  • Natural Gas Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Related Engineering disciplines
• 2+ years of related technical experience in an engineering, technical, operations, documentation, or project-support environment.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications, engineering documentation, and design information.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate meetings, document discussions, track action items, and follow through on deliverables.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting engineering or natural gas/energy operations.
• Experience with technical specifications, engineering standards, or internal guidelines.
• Experience coordinating design reviews or engineering meetings.
• Familiarity with mechanical, measurement, corrosion, controls, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience working with engineers and operations personnel in a utility, energy, natural gas, or industrial environment.
• Experience with technical documentation management systems or internal engineering web platforms.

Work Schedule
This position follows a Flex 9 schedule, which may include:

• Monday Thursday: 9-hour workdays
• Friday: 4-hour workday
• Monday Thursday: 9-hour workdays
• Friday: 8-hour workday with every other Friday off
