Engineering Technician 1

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Engineering Technician 1 in Redondo Beach, CA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This full-time, onsite position will support Integration Test & Launch activities involving space flight hardware. The role will assemble, integrate, and test hardware while working from blueprints, specifications, and work instructions in a team environment.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Knowledge of tools and measurement devices.
• Ability to work with computers and Microsoft tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience and knowledge of mechanical and electrical tools and hardware.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble, integrate, and test space flight hardware.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Handle and assemble delicate and ESD-sensitive flight hardware.
• Work in a dynamic team environment supporting Integration Test & Launch activities.
• Assist with occasional assembly of non-flight Ground Support Equipment.
• Work with forklifts, cranes, and associated rigging equipment.
• Work onsite full time in Redondo Beach, California.
