The Engineering Technician 1 assists in all phases of design, development, production, testing, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, machinery, and tools. Under the direction of engineering staff, this role is responsible for supporting automation improvements, machine installations, calibrations, and providing maintenance for production machinery. The Engineering Technician 1 will also help in troubleshooting and performing routine tests to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery as needed to support manufacturing and production processes.
Ensure that machinery is running safely and efficiently by performing regular tests, inspections, and adjustments.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement automation improvements, machine installations, and layout changes.
Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and address standard issues to maintain optimal machine performance.
Inspect and test machinery to identify potential issues before they lead to production downtime.
Assist with modifications and repairs, using basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machine setup and operational requirements.
Help design, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components for machinery, tools, and equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
Contribute to the development of new products or processes by assisting in the testing and prototyping of mechanical systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and machine settings to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Document and report any issues, maintenance activities, and performance data to engineering staff and management.
Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Follow Safety, Environmental, and Quality guidelines in all activities, ensuring all work complies with company and regulatory requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas in accordance with 5S principles.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education: Special Program
Experience: Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar engineering or technical role, with a strong willingness to learn.
Certifications: Welding or Robotic Welding
