Our Client, an American Biotechnology company, is looking for an Engineering Technician 3 for their Santa Clara, CA  location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Procure, assemble, and test new equipment, including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic component assembly and integration, to fulfill validation and manufacturing requirements.
  • Physically manage receipt and storage of materials as they arrive
  • Work with engineering to support documentation of equipment including assembly drawing, test protocol, and manufacturing methods.
  • Create and release ECOs for minor updates.
  • Document test results using paper and electronic means (Word, Excel, SAP)
  • Assist with lab organization (5S) and coordinating efficient material transfer flow between planning and equipment engineers to support build timelines.
  • Coordinating execution of equipment shipments between US and international sites (e.g. crating and labeling)
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment issues and provide relevant line support (e.g. equipment adjustment and repair).
 
Requirements:
  • Min 3 - 5 years of experience
  • Experience in planning, ordering, assembling, validating, and supporting manufacturing equipment
  • Hands-on with proven ability to work well in a team environment
  • Mechanical/electrical assembly aptitude; Soldering experience a plus
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to document data in a clear and organized method
  • Attention to details with focus on quality
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to review Manufacturing Process Instructions / drawings and provide engineers with redlines/feedback
  • Ability to perform initial troubleshooting of equipment
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
  • AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school a plus.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in medical device field with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar QMS
  • Experience with 5S and lab organization
  • Experience coordinating with Preventative Maintenance and Calibration team for equipment maintenance, calibration, and implementation in Production
  • Experience with ERP/Document Control systems
  • Experience with crating/shipping internationally
  • Experience with V&V or TMV protocol execution
  • Experience with CAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD electrical)
