Eleven Recruiting is searching for an Engineering Technician for a well-established, global aerospace and defense OEM in the greater Los Angeles area. In this role, you'll provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing and assembly operations, helping resolve routine engineering and production issues that impact safety, quality, delivery and operational performance.
The Role
You'll act as an important link between the production floor and the Engineering team, using your practical technical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, interpret engineering documentation, support investigations and implement approved engineering solutions. You'll also help identify when an issue needs additional engineering analysis and ensure it is escalated appropriately. This is an opportunity to work across a fast-paced aerospace production environment, collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering teams while supporting the sustainment and continued improvement of products and processes.
Responsibilities:-
Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing and assembly operations, helping resolve routine production, engineering, test and process issues.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, work instructions, manufacturing routers and other technical documentation.

Support Engineering and Quality investigations into product defects, nonconforming material, manufacturing discrepancies and process concerns, gathering the information needed for root cause and corrective action.

Implement approved corrective actions, process changes, repairs and technical solutions on the production floor, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate Engineer.

Support Material Review Board and nonconformance activities, including gathering technical information and assisting with implementation of approved dispositions.

Assist with the creation, revision and maintenance of manufacturing procedures, work instructions, technical documentation and production records.

Support product and process sustainment, new product introduction, product transfers, production trials and continuous improvement activities, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:-
Hands-on experience in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, automotive, industrial or a similarly regulated technical environment.

Strong practical understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, with the ability to troubleshoot and investigate issues in a structured way.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, work instructions and manufacturing documentation.

Basic understanding of dimensional tolerances, mechanical components, assemblies and inspection requirements.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and maintain accurate documentation.

An Associate degree, technical diploma or equivalent technical training in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Electronics, Aerospace or a related technical discipline would be advantageous.

Experience with aerospace manufacturing, MRO, precision manufacturing or another regulated industry, as well as familiarity with GD&T, inspection methods, nonconformance processes, root cause analysis, corrective action, Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement, would be advantageous.
Salary: $75,000 - $82,000
