Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for an Engineering Technician to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support the build, integration, and testing of advanced RF systems and antenna arrays for aerospace and defense applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in RF component assembly, precision wiring, antenna fabrication, and bench-level RF testing within a controlled manufacturing environment.
This role requires precision workmanship, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and comfort or willingness to learn RF test equipment and fabrication tools.
Key Responsibilities:
RF Assembly & Test
- Perform RF component wiring and soldering to IPC standards.
- Conduct RF component bench testing using standard RF test equipment.
- Perform RF cable fabrication and bench testing.
- Support antenna assembly and bonding processes.
- Perform antenna bench testing and validation.
- Execute array assembly and wiring operations.
- Perform circuit board assembly and integration
Fabrication & Manufacturing Support
- Assemble and route complex wire harnesses.
- Operate laser cutter and laser engraver equipment for precision fabrication tasks.
- Operate CNC hot wire cutting systems
- Maintain documentation for builds, tests, and non-conformances.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical certification (Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field preferred).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in RF assembly, antenna manufacturing, or aerospace electronics production.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Precision soldering and RF wiring
- RF bench testing and troubleshooting
- Cable fabrication and validation
- Antenna or array assembly
- Experience operating fabrication equipment (laser cutter, laser engraver, CNC hot wire).
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and other RF test equipment.
- Experience with bonding operations and absorber materials.
- Experience with printed circuit board assembly.
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one).

CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
