Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Fargo, ND
Salary Range: $30-37/hr on w2
Contract: 24 months, possible extension
Introduction
The role involves supporting the production floor by responding to technical requests and resolving machine or mechanical issues promptly. The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training at the Main Plant before transitioning to the PES facility.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with soldering (support and intermediate level)
- Ability to use multimeters and perform failure analysis
- Experience with small robotics, conveyance equipment, and automated machinery
- Basic proficiency with computers
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent technician experience
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Local candidates preferred
- Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters
- Ability to perform failure analysis and document findings
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to requests and trouble calls from the production floor
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues with machines and mechanical equipment
- Provide support with soldering tasks and related processes
- Work with small robotics, conveyors, automated soldering stations, and material dispensary equipment
- Track work performed using basic computer applications
- Maintain a high level of safety and use required PPE (metatarsal shoes) at all times
Company Benefits & Culture
- Position is 100% onsite
- Approximately 75% of time spent on the factory floor, 25% at a desk
- Metatarsal safety shoes required on day one
