Shift: Grave Shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM)

Job Summary

Position is seeking a person capable of running an Intevac 200L sputter machine in a proficient manner to fulfill the requests for the Media Development Engineering organization. Tasks and duties will include processing experiments precisely as documented or requested by the Engineering staff. Requirements are to work in class 10/100 cleanroom environment, follow all procedures and protocols, follow instructions well, provide feedback to coworkers/leads in a constructive/positive manner, provide technical support and suggestions to Engineering, run sputter machines efficiently and effectively, collect sputter related data on metrology tools, maintain excellent documentation, and work collaboratively in a team environment to help exceed goals.

Key Responsibilities

Pilot Line Operations:

  • Process media through various media processes and equipment which includes but is not limited to the following
  • Process experiments for the Engineering team—processing discs through the various tools, measurement of the media, data entry, and feedback to engineering and management of the results
  • Work inside of a cleanroom with 100% PPE suits from head to toe with masks and safety glasses required
  • Retrieve parts from point A to point B, involving a good amount of movement (walking—50% depending on the job)
  • Reach to load and unload products onto racks and machines, typically ranging from 24 inches to 53 inches not exceeding 10 lbs
  • Transport product via cart when provided; hand carry product/material majority of the time
  • Interface with computer systems and software for machines and processes; interact with Engineering via email and phone with excellent understanding and communication skills required
  • Follow comprehension of correct recipes, file savings, and instructions precisely
  • Utilize detailed Excel skills and understanding of Windows
  • Step onto step stools to reach platforms for processing of parts; bend and kneel in tight spaces for access to back of tools for process checks
  • Perform tape changes and adjustments based upon data received from Engineering or checklists, requiring manual dexterity
  • Demonstrate detailed manual dexterity with ESD sensitive parts and miniature assembly for MDW process
  • Cross train to be able to utilize employees efficiently for planning purposes and downtime in areas
  • Work Saturday workdays as required and part of schedule; work overtime as required

  • Saturday workday required and part of schedule in many cases
