Requirements

Engineering Technicians assist in the preparation of design drawings, plans, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications for a variety of civil site / land development / water / wastewater projects including commercial, industrial, and municipal projects and a variety of permitting. They use computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design drawings and documents on a regular basis and assist in the preparation of reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school/GED diploma and 10 years of experience or an Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 8 years related experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and experience designing residential, commercial and industrial sites preferred
  • Coastal experience a plus
  • Municipal experience preferred
  • Proficiency in commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license.
