Works in and around heavy traffic during extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Performs traffic studies including vehicle counts, stop‑and‑delay studies, gap studies, radar checks, and pedestrian zone evaluations; compiles and edits data; files and maintains records, and performs other related duties. Investigates requests for traffic information. Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent and at least 18 months experience in drafting, surveying, inspection, materials testing, plan review, permitting, computerized mapping, computer aided design (CAD), traffic signal control, code enforcement, customer service representative, or a related field.OR high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and successful completion of at least three courses in geometry, drafting, surveying (Geomatics) or Right of Way (ROW).Required CertificationsMust possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record at the time of hire.Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 6 months of hire.#J-18808-Ljbffr
