    Job Responsibilities

    Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to work in our Construction Engineering team while based at our office in King of Prussia, PA office.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Working in the field at building construction sites as a Quality Assurance representative; this involves observing, documenting and reporting on the construction work and performing construction materials testing.
    • Inspecting construction and materials compliance with the drawings and specifications.
    • Materials include reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied proofing, soils, earth work, and foundations.
    • Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils. non-destructive testing of welds, and high strength bolting installation.
    • Communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients.
    • Work construction hours (which may include overtime).
    • Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.


    Qualifications:
    • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study.
    • Recent or upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • Reliable transportation
    • FE / EIT in NJ is a plus.
    • NJ DCA Special Inspector certification (e.g.: Structural Steel, Masonry, Concrete, etc.) is a plus.
    • Experience working on construction projects is a plus!
    • Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate technical details.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
