Supports engineering and manufacturing operations by performing testing, equipment assembly/repair, data analysis, and CAM/CNC production support for complex defense-related components and systems.


Responsibilities


+ Performs standardized technical assignments involving a sequence of related operations and follows established work methods and procedures.

+ Receives detailed instructions for unfamiliar assignments while routine work is reviewed upon completion for technical accuracy.

+ Assembles, constructs, services, and repairs simple or standard equipment, instruments, and components following specific instructions.

+ Conducts a variety of tests using established methods, prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data.

+ Identifies and reports deviations caused by equipment malfunctions or observational errors during testing processes.

+ Extracts engineering data from prescribed but non-standardized sources and processes the data using basic algebra and geometry.

+ Presents processed engineering data in required formats following defined methods and procedures.

+ Serves as a specialist in Computer Aided Manufacturing/Computer Numerically Controlled (CAM/CNC) methods and processes.

+ Supports the production of complex missile components, combat vehicles, assemblies, and other defense-related items.

+ Evaluates engineering designs and collaborates with engineers to discuss performance requirements and recommend design modifications.

+ Recommends alternative designs to improve CAM/CNC equipment utilization for prototyping and life-cycle production efficiency.

+ Applies practical knowledge of mechanical engineering, machining, mathematics, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.


Qualifications


+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.

+ 1-3 years of experience.
