Job SummaryAs an Engineering Technician II, you will modify standardized motor designs to meet customer requirements using lean design principles and guidelines. This role requires a moderate level of electrical and/or mechanical motor design and analysis competency.Key ResponsibilitiesCreating and modifying drawings.Coordinate with engineers and manufacturing to ensure that all customer requirements are met.Review industry standards for requirements and compliance.Create and modify BOMs and other documentation to support customer and manufacturing requirements.Collaborate with all functions of the business in driving quality and process improvement initiatives.Work closely with leaders on expediting documentation changes.Minimum QualificationsEnrolled in an engineering or technical program.Possess strong problem‑solving skills.Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.Preferred QualificationsEnrolled in an Engineering Program.5+ years of electric motor manufacturing experience.Possesses strong problem‑solving skills with experience in IHP motor design and process desired.Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
