Position Title: Engineering Technician II

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Engineering Technician II opportunity.

Job Description:

  • The Engineering Technician II is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development and manufacturing.
  • To be successful the Engineering Technician II must be capable of the following progressively complex instructions and test plans; understanding and executing data collection and analysis; and managing shifting priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety related policies and highlighting opportunities for improvement
  • Support Engineering in developing and executing test plans
  • Support Engineering by providing feedback on fixtures/tooling requirements for new products and existing products
  • Support Engineering in the development and execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s)
  • Utilize data collection and statistical analysis methods as defined in test plans and root cause analysis
  • Support Manufacturing by problem solving when issues arise
  • Address root cause and corrective action with teams when an issue is discovered either internally or externally
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational performance.


Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 4-year degree or 5 years of progressive growth experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to follow complex instructions with limited supervision while also managing multiple priorities concurrently
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Ability and basic knowledge in working with machine shop equipment
  • Basic experience in working with measurement equipment such as rulers, calipers, DMM, etc.
  • Must be data driven and use data to drive root cause analysis and corrective action
