Engineering Technician

A company in the Kansas City area is looking for an Engineering Technician to add to their team. This person will be traveling to job sites across the KC metro testing construction materials. On a day to day, this person will be driving to job sites, reading plans, testing materials, and writing reports for each job site. Specifically, they will be testing concrete, eventually testing soil, then doing inspection. They will be trained for the first 3-4 weeks before working independently. They must be able to work in the field and be able to lift to 50 lbs. and have a clean driving record. Most importantly, this person must be excited to learn about construction and materials testing and be eager to grow within the company.

Required Skills & Experience
• High school degree
• Eager to learn and grow within the company.
• Willing to work outside on job sites every day.
• Valid driver's license.
• Math skills
Able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Related degree (Engineering Technology, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science)
• ACI (American Concrete Institution Institute) certification
• Previous construction experience
Able to read blueprints.
