Engineering Technician
The Opportunity Use tools and equipment to assemble or fabricate parts pieces and products in a prototyping and manufacturing environment. Apply basic principles theories and concepts and limited industry knowledge. Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity and refer more complex issues to higher levels. Work under direct supervision.
You Have 5 years of experience in product development testing field repair depot shipyard test range industrial manufacturing or prototyping environments Experience supporting engineering product development and test activities in a laboratory pilot or manufacturing environment Experience with computer aided design software and additive manufacturing Experience applying coatings using equipment such as spray guns rollers and brushes Experience reading and interpreting blueprints when applying patterns and directions for the mixture use and application of various kinds of coating materials solvents and precoating agents Ability to rapidly prototype repair and refine parts fixtures and product components using manufacturing methods such as tooling machining and additive manufacturing Ability to follow engineering drawings work instructions test procedures and technical specifications with close attention to detail Ability to prepare various surfaces for painting including solvent washing sanding grit blasting corrosion removal masking and activities associated with applying paints coatings adhesives and sealants Secret clearance
Associates degree in an Engineering Chemistry or Physics field
Nice If You Have Experience supporting the defense industry Experience with soldering ESD-sensitive components and basic electrical assembly Experience with material properties associated with paints coatings sealants adhesives potting agents epoxies silanes polyurethane acrylics and other technologies Experience with quality standards and programs such as Lean Six Sigma Agile ASTM or ISO

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors including but not limited to location the individuals particular combination of education knowledge skills competencies and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is 53000.00 to 108000.00 annualized USD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
