The Science Team at Pride Health supports the Material Science organization and has an opening for Engineering Technician in Maplewood, MN
Position Summary:We are seeking a contract
Engineering Technician to support scientists and engineers in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently perform testing, document results, and support day-to-day laboratory operations.
Additional Details:Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extensions Pay range: $22 to $27 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing on products and raw materials using defined test methods and accurately record data.
- Use computer software to analyze test data, summarize conclusions, and complete required documentation.
- Prepare, operate, and maintain basic hand tools, power tools, and laboratory equipment.
- Independently perform assigned laboratory tasks and testing activities.
- Conduct routine laboratory duties, including sample storage, supply inventory, and chemical inventory.
- Maintain an organized and safe laboratory environment.
- Train other team members on sample preparation, test methods, and laboratory protocols as needed.
- Support scientists and engineers with laboratory and engineering activities.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience.
- 2–3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and test methods.
- Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Analytical and curious mindset with the ability to identify data trends and help solve problems.
- Basic understanding of CAD software; SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Hands-on experience working in a shop or technical environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
