The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join a leading medical device manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or laboratory testing experience who enjoys hands-on technical work in a collaborative, quality-driven environment.

In this role, you will support the testing and evaluation of medical device components and materials by performing laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM and ISO standards. You'll work alongside engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements while gaining valuable experience with advanced testing equipment and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Perform material and medical device testing in accordance with ASTM and ISO standards.
  • Prepare, image, and test metallographic specimens.
  • Operate analytical and material testing equipment and accurately document results.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using a variety of metrology tools and techniques.
  • Receive, log, and prepare samples for testing.
  • Analyze test data and prepare clear, accurate reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration support for laboratory equipment.
  • Notify appropriate departments of product failures and assist with root cause investigations.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining testing procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment, laboratory equipment, or test equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently.
Preferred
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical education.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with ASTM and ISO standards.
  • Experience with metrology equipment, dimensional inspection, or materials testing.
Physical Requirements
  • Primarily light laboratory and office work.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods as needed.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of light weight objects.
Pay $18.50-$24 per hour DOE
