Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and technically inclined temporary team members to support Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at our Northlake manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for individuals with warehouse, manufacturing, robotics, or STEM-related experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Job Description
- Monitor and supervise AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle/Forklift) activity using multiple system monitoring tools.
- Ensure continuous warehouse material movement by responding to AGV operational needs.
- Adapt to fluctuating site activity and changing AGV usage demands.
- Perform AGV housekeeping and preventative maintenance activities, including: Sensor cleaning, Basic machine inspections, General upkeep of AGV equipment
- Identify and report recurring AGV faults or environmental issues to the Automation Engineering team.
- Assist with manual AGV control when required.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and machine safety protocols.
- Remain active and on your feet for most of the shift.
- Shift: Thursday, Friday: 3PM – 11PM; Saturday, Sunday: 7PM – (Following Day) 7AM
Skills Required
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort working with monitoring systems.
- High attention to detail and ability to recognize recurring issues or operational patterns.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of machine and workplace safety.
- Experience working in an industrial, warehouse, shipping & receiving, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with AGV systems or automated equipment is a plus but not required.
- Technically inclined individuals encouraged to apply, including: STEM students, Robotics hobbyists or competitors, Candidates with manufacturing internship experience
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures.
- Comfortable working independently during off-shift hours.
Education
Salary
- $25 - $30 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
