Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a Contract job with a client in Palm Bay, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and test equipment support, along with strong troubleshooting, calibration, and diagnostic capabilities.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, and related equipment, components, devices, and systems.

• Assist engineering teams with the design, assembly, setup, validation, and checkout of test equipment used in development, production, and operational environments.

• Perform testing and operational verification activities by utilizing schematics, repair manuals, engineering drawings, technical documentation, and verbal or written instructions.

• Operate complex equipment, automated systems, computer-controlled systems, and laboratory instruments while collecting and documenting test results in prescribed formats.

• Conduct calibration, alignment, adjustment, modification, and replacement activities to ensure equipment performance, reliability, and compliance with engineering specifications.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six years of relevant technical experience, or an Associate Degree with at least two years of related engineering technician experience.

• Strong experience supporting electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, or laboratory equipment within engineering, manufacturing, testing, or production environments.

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, repair manuals, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and operational documentation.

• Experience performing calibration, troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and testing of complex equipment and systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose issues and implement effective technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting engineering laboratories, manufacturing operations, aerospace, defense, electronics, or advanced technology environments.

• Familiarity with automated test equipment, computer-controlled systems, instrumentation, validation processes, and engineering support activities.

• Experience performing equipment alignment, test setup, system verification, technical reporting, and operational troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of calibration procedures, preventive maintenance programs, quality standards, and technical compliance requirements.

• Ability to serve as a technical resource for junior technicians and team members within areas of specialized expertise.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
