Your expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, adhering to detailed processes, and operating machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and CNC will be invaluable. Experience in photonics is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training in photonics-specific skills like fiber optics handling and optical alignment will be provided. Key responsibilities include executing fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, and inspection processes aligning with detailed work instructions and drawings. Specific tasks may involve optical fiber splicing, photonic circuit assembly, and metal soldering. A strong foundation in machining using standard tooling is required. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
