The Engineering team is looking for highly motivated technicians to support accelerated product validation and durability testing. This role is hands-on with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and CAN diagnostics. Technicians are expected to assemble and disassemble components, build and debug electrical test fixtures, execute tests, and support root cause analysis. A successful candidate must have a passion for learning, a strong electrical foundation, and the ability to collaborate effectively to develop solutions quickly.
- Execute tests: setup, perform inspections, conduct maintenance, and retrofits using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools - must work with fluids and refrigerant
- Design, build, debug, and dismantle complex electrical fixtures and wiring harnesses, including basic PCB reworks
- Perform CAN bus diagnostics to identify, document, and resolve communication faults
- Launch test software, triage electrical failures, and support root cause analysis using Python editors or command line on Linux
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues
- Support instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis to identify trends
- Document and report issues identified during tests or inspections
- Fabricate test hardware using available shop tools and equipment
- Assist and learn from other technicians and engineers
- Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals: Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Laws, circuit analysis
- Proficient with standard lab equipment: DMMs, DAQs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and sensors
- Previous experience with CAN communication and vehicle-level network diagnostics
- Ability to solder, crimp, build custom harnesses (22 gauge to 0 gauge), perform basic PCB reworks, and read wire diagrams
- Experience with high and low voltage electrical components and systems
- Familiarity with data acquisition, analyzing test data, and communicating findings proactively
- Experience working on vehicle-level or complex integrated electrical systems
- Basic experience with MS Office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python editors or command line on Linux, CAD tools, or fabrication equipment is preferred
