Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: 6 months contract
Shift: (6:30am – 3:00pm) Monday through Friday
Payrate: $16.99 to $26.99 per hour.

Job Description:
If you are an Engineering Lab Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful testing, product validation, and continuous improvement within a collaborative laboratory environment. You will play a key part in ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of our products through hands-on testing, equipment maintenance, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine product testing following established procedures and applicable standards.
  • Build and assemble basic test fixtures, including computer-based configurations used for test operation and data acquisition.
  • Assists Mechanical Engineers with testing of consumer wet/dry vacuums and other equipment.
  • Applies knowledge of mechanical engineering technology under direction of engineering and staff.
  • Document test results accurately and create clear reports using laboratory systems and Client Office tools to maintain compliance and data integrity.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of assigned laboratory equipment under general supervision.
  • Operate and evaluate ETC and competitor products to support validation and benchmarking activities.
  • Use training, technical knowledge, and analytical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues.

Must Have:
  • High school diploma or GED with demonstrated mechanical or electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow laboratory procedures and verbal instructions
  • General computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Client Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an engineering laboratory environment
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical technician roles
  • UL testing experience
