Job Title: Engineering Technician/ Test Engineer (Electro-Mechanical)
Location: Fremont, CA
Work Model: Onsite
Duration: 6+ Months + Extendable
Experience: 4+ Years
Employment Type: Contract
Rate: $40-48/hr

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Engineering Technician / Test Engineer Electro-Mechanical with hands-on experience in semiconductor systems, electro-mechanical assembly, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will support current and upcoming projects involving system builds, integration, retrofits, testing, and resolving build-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble modules, integrate systems, and support semiconductor equipment builds.
• Build and test prototypes, systems, and electro-mechanical components.
• Develop and execute test plans and analyze test data to identify issues and trends.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system integration issues.
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, build procedures, test reports, and specifications.
• Create and maintain build schedules aligned with project milestones.
• Track materials, monitor build progress, and participate in project/progress meetings.
• Support system retrofits by identifying required delta/retrofit parts and coordinating implementation.
• Work closely with Engineering and other technical teams to meet project deadlines and resolve build-related issues.
• Provide technical support for current projects and upcoming demonstration tools.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering, Hardware, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience working with semiconductor systems/equipment.
• Strong hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly and system integration.
• Experience using multimeters, calipers, dial indicators, laser measurement tools, and other laboratory/test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience setting up tests, developing test plans, collecting data, and analyzing test results.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
