Description

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Vehicle Development Engineering Department supporting Engineering, Validation, Technical Review, and Product Development Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Warren, MI 48092 (Onsite)
Pay Range: $33 - $39/hr

What's the Job?

  • Review engineering drawings, blueprints, technical layouts, and PDM data to support vehicle development activities.
  • Inspect physical hardware, vehicle components, and assemblies to identify discrepancies and root causes.
  • Analyze data from internal databases and prepare technical, cost, and performance reports.
  • Coordinate technical reviews, document action items, and monitor project progress.
  • Support validation activities, customer escalations, supplier investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8-10 years of engineering, automotive, validation, or technical analysis experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle architecture, automotive systems, and component interaction.
  • Experience with engineering drawings, blueprints, technical documentation, database management, and root cause analysis.
  • Automotive mechanic or technician experience with strong written and verbal communication skills.
